For today’s mechanical keyboard review, I am reviewing the AUSDOM 98Pro Wireless Mechanical Keyboard.
Ausdom is a company based in the electronics capital of Shenzhen, Guangdong, China and is an international brand that specialized in audio and video since their founding back in 2003. While their web cameras, video baby monitors and headphones are well-known in Asia, the company is now venturing into gaming and they have released their own mechanical keyboards.
But one thing I do appreciate AUSDOM is by creating various color schemes and themes through their 98Pro Wireless keyboards.
So, as always, I try to review all different colors of mechanical keyboards and this one is for the ladies or those who love the pink and black color profiles.
First and foremost, the Hola98 Pro is a tri-mode mechanical keyboard. So, it can connect via Bluetooth, a 2.8Ghz USB wireless receiver is included and also via USB-C cable (cable include).
The mechanical keyboard includes a gasket design, which means layer of foam (two layers of poron foam, IXPE switch pads, PET sound-boosting pads and a silicone pad at the bottom) to keep typing sounds quieter and the switches are hot swappable (three extra switches and keycap puller are included) and of course, like all mechanical keyboards, this features RGB backlit underneath the keyboard keys.
There are 4-levels and 16 types of light effects that can be changed via the function (lightning bolt, two buttons to the right of the space bar and and arrow key) or (lightning bolt and the down key). While it shows various effects, the main light is white, so bouncing off the keys it looks like pink lights.
As for the keys, the keyboard comes with pre-lubed linear profile (linear means straight down without bumps or resistance and a key goes straight down).
The mechanical keyboard with the “Manga Girl Theme” features pink. black and white PBT keycap color profiles. Letters and numbers are easy to read, while some buttons use character faces of the female character with pink hair and guy with white hair.
This keyboard features 98 keys and has a caps-lock and num-lock LED light indicator. Top keys on the right includes delete and print screen.
For the most part, the design is very cool and stylish but there is one fault and it’s a glaring typo on the space bar as “competition” is missing the “p”.
Aside from the typo, this is a pretty solid keyboard that is stylish and has everything what one can want in a 98-key mechanical keyboard. It’s definitely unique in looks and is no doubt an attractive keyboard that people who are into pink/black keyboards will surely be interested in checking out.
The AUSDOM 98Pro Wireless Mechanical Keyboard is recommended!
