I have to admit that I was a bit surprised when this arrived in smaller box, but have no fear, it’s because the handles are similar to how mops and other things with long handles are now these days. You literally get the pole pieces and screw them in to each other.
Simple to put together, but man….once you take the rake out, it’s kind of scary. Kind of reminded me of those tomato dicers. So, was definitely careful around it.
But the thing is sturdy and most importantly, I needed a rake that would be simple to use and the pole won’t break off. So many rakes I’ve owned, where it would break off right at the base (a lot of the cheaper ones are wood).
So, I hope this one lasts longer and from the looks of it, it looks quite durable.
I give this thatch rake a thumbs up!
