The One about the EasySMX X10 Mechanic Master Power Controller

When it comes to the Nintendo Switch, one of the constant worries is Joycon drift. So, what to do? Easy, purchase a power controller? But you don’t have to spend an arm and a leg for one, these days, third party power controllers are pretty awesome, granted, not all deliver in terms of performance and battery power.

With the EasySMX X10 Mechanic Master Power Controller, there are several positives which I found with this controller.

First, it’s probably one of the best packaged controllers with a nice box, packaged very well with a magnetic swappable faceplate and bottom area covers if you want to change it from silver black to white. There is also a 2.4Ghz USB receiver as well for Wireless play on your PC, Steam Deck, Raspberry PI. But the controller allows for wireless, bluetooth (for PC, Android TV, etc.) and wired, as well as Switch connectivity with a change of a switch (on the back of the controller).

I also like how they separate the modes thanks to the LED light on the bottom, which is a plus!

Second, you want a controller with a good sized battery and this one comes with a 1000 mAh capacity battery which gives you up to 40 hours of playing time and takes about 3.5 hours to charge.

I felt the controller was quite easy to hold and I like the Hall Effect Joystick with the contactless hall sensors. You have the rear triggers with hall effect leading to 0.1mm accuracy and it also comes with customizable back keys.

If anything, for a third party controller, it has lasted very well during my gameplay (some controllers for Switch will conk out after 8 hours), so I like the fact this one is lasting longer.

But from presentation to gameplay using this controller, it’s probably one of the top controllers I have used so far.

It is important to note though that the button layout goes by the Microsoft XBOX way so, XYAB. If you play on the Nintendo Switch, you have to remember that it’s the opposite: YXBA.

But overall, it’s a solid controller that I really enjoyed playing on (tested on games on STEAM for PC and Nintendo Switch) and will be in my rotation as one of my go to controllers. It’s that good and worth the $50!

The EasySMX X10 Mechanic Master Power Controller is highly recommended!
