I have talked (podcast) and wrote about my love/hate for Nintendo Switch joycon controllers and the amount of drift problems I have had in the past.
So, for the past several years, I have been reviewing third party Nintendo power controllers. Trying various ones to see if they will last longer than the others.
And I have come upon a Gameasy Wireless Switch Pro controller for under $30 that not only lasts longer than other third party power controllers but in terms of getting what I need it to do during games, it’s worked perfectly.
First, let me just say that this power controller is not just for the Nintendo Switch, it cam be used on iOS/Android/PC and multiple devices that utilize bluetooth or wired connections.
So, Android, iOS Apple Arcade MFI Games (iOS 13.0 and above) and PC (Windows 7 and above), you should be fine!
The power controller can read Amiibo cards which is a nice addition.
The controller’s back buttons are also fully programmable and you can store 30 seconds or up to 25 actions.
There is also turbo or manual turbo mode (5, 10, 20 shots) and also dual vibration motors that can be sent from none, weak, medium and strong.
And the controller has a 6-axis gyro sensor and has a 650 mAh battery which lasts up to 10-15 hours. A full charge takes about 3-4 hours.
For me, it’s pretty much a Nintendo Switch controller and of the many I reviewed, it’s probably the most reliable one already and surprisingly, one of the most cheapest ones as most go for $39.99, this goes for $28.99.
I have reviewed a lot of third party power controllers/wireless gaming controllers and don’t think that because this Gameasy Wireless Switch Pro controller is cheaper and worse than the others. Because if anything, it’s probably one of the best out there that I have used a lot and tested and it has performed much better than I have ever expected! It fact, it has now become my goto third party controller for the Nintendo Switch.
