The One about the Redragon K655 75% RGB Wired Mechanical Gaming Keyboard

Having reviewed numerous Redragon mechanical keyboards these past few years, I have always said that when it comes to one of the best budget-driven gaming keyboards, Redragon has delivered.

I have not had one keyboard (may they be lowest budget, mid-price or higher priced) from Redragon, I have not had any problems. And with each year, their products have gotten better and better.

For today’s review, I am reviewing the Redragon K655 75% RGB Wired Mechanical Gaming Keyboard.

So, this is an under $50 keyboard (around $47) that is hot-swappable (and comes with red switches), it’s a 75% keyboard with 78 keys and the top board is made of solid aluminum metal.

So, the board is 30% slimmer, the keyboard features on-board macros that can be customizable via software and it has a media scroll control wheel on the upper left portion of the keyboard.

Now I have been using this keyboard for the past month and a half and I have had no problems with it.

Its quite smooth and responsive and the red switches feel just right!

For those who are quite specific that the keyboard must have caps lock and num lock LED lights, this mechanical keyboard does feature that on the upper right.

I have also tested this mechanical keyboard for gaming (rhythm games and shmups) and the mechanical keyboard has performed very well.

As for RGB lighting, the keyboard features up to 20 presets for backlighting modes and for those particular about feet underneath the keyboard, yes, this mechanical keyboard does feature two feet as well and rubber non-slip towards the bottom.

Last but not least, like other Redragon mechanical keyboards, they included extra switches, USB-C cord and keycap puller. Do note that unlike other gaming keyboards that have the USB-C port on the top, this one is on the left side. It actually works perfectly for me to have it there. But some people may not like that.

But otherwise, the Redragon K655 75% RGB Wired Mechanical Gaming Keyboard is Redragon’s budget line of keyboards. 75%, white and gray which I really like, volume knob, LED lighting and for the most part, I really like how smooth this keyboard types and while not the quietest of red switches (seriously, if you want quieter, you would be looking at pricier gasket mounted mechanical keyboards), it’s still very good. More like brown switches for me but can’t complain, at $47, you are getting a lot for your buck and the Redragon quality which has been strong these past few years!
