If anything, this is a good non-cable network holiday romance film. It’s well-acted and was done very well.

An injured figure skater is sent to the mountains to recover from an injury. Once there, she meets an ex-hockey player and his young daughter and begins to realize that something is missing from her life.
The next film in my holiday movie marathon is the 2016 Christmas film “Falling for Christmas”, not the 2022 holiday film featuring Lindsay Lohan.
Now there are two things for me that I find very cool and one, the film stars Lisa Welchel as the protagonists mom (Lisa was known as “Blair” on the popular ’80s show “Facts of Life”) and it’s been awhile since I’ve seen her acting.
The other person that was cool to see is Leah Renee. Many people probably don’t know that she was the voice of Beaver in the “Arthur” PBS animated series (many people grew up watching “Arthur”), the voice of Chris-Alice in “Growing Up Creepie” and the 2013 TV series “Satisfaction”.
The film also stars Nial Matter (“Eureka”, “Watchmen”, “Primeval: New World”), Michael Teigen (“Supernatural”) and Lochlyn Munro (“Scary Movie”, “A Night at the Roxbury”, “White Chicks”) and more.
The film revolves around top figure skater Claire Benson (portrayed by Leah Renee) who is injured and with a major competition coming up, she is hoping she heals in time.
Her demanding coach Julian (portrayed by Michael Teigen) decides to bring her to the mountains to recover her injury and with Claire being sad, her mother Dale (portrayed by Lisa Welchel) decides to head to the mountains to join her.
At the mountains is a place where people are celebrating the Christmas holiday and single father Luke (portrayed by Niall Matter) and his daughter Chamonix (portrayed by Gracyn Shinyei) are there to celebrate. His daughter is also wanting to become a professional figure skater and is the biggest fan of Claire.
And as Claire meets with Luke and Chamonix, Claire starts to find happiness with being with them and her mother tells her that skating is not everything. She should do what makes her happy. And for Claire, she is confused as she starts to have feelings for Luke (and Luke is the same towards her). But Luke doesn’t want to interfere with her skating aspirations, as he was once a professional hockey player who gave up playing after a major injury. So, Luke knows how it is to be a professional athlete.
But will Claire find happiness? If anything, this is a good non-cable network holiday romance film. It’s well-acted and was done very well.
