Kim and Theo meet on Black Friday shopping and there is spark between them, but the couple gets separated due to panic. Both of them can’t forget each other and try to search with little information. Can destiny bring back them together.

As we have featured holiday films from Hallmark and Lifetime, this time we review a holiday film which aired on Great American Family, which kicked off on in 2021 (much earlier, as far back in 1995, the channel was known as Great American Country) and signed contracts with many talent who came from the Hallmark Channel, with the biggest contract signing was in April 2022 with Candace Cameron Bure (who was the reigning Christmas Queen at Hallmark), now becoming the chief content officer for the new channel.

And so, the Christmas holiday films would kick of in 2022, and while I had no access to the holiday films, many of them are now being released on digital distribution sites, especially for free on Vudu and YouTube.

And the first film for me to review from the channel is “Destined at Christmas” written, directed and produced by Brittany Wiscombe (who wrote “A Crafty Christmas Romance”, “Romance in the Air”, “Timeless Love”)  to name a few.

The film stars Shae Robins (“Love in Aruba”, “Identical Love”, “Romance in the Outfield: Double Play”), Casey Elliott (“Retreat to Paradise”, “An Hour Behind”, “Out of Liberty”) and more.

“Destined at Christmas” revolves around paleontologist Dr. Kim Fenech (portrayed by Shae Robbins) who is out going Christmas shopping on Black Friday, alongside Theo Hall (portrayed by Casey Elliott) who are two strangers who are stuck waiting in line next to each other.

As the two do their shopping, Theo is trying to look for a hard to find doll for his daughter, which Brittany ended up finding and offering to Theo.  Grateful for Kim’s kindness, Theo asks Kim out for breakfast and the two enjoy their company with each other.  As they go out to go shopping again, the department store loses electricity and due to the maylay of everyone trying to leave, the two are separated from each other, without getting each other’s contact information, to the dismay of each of them as their was great chemistry.

But because they haven’t gotten each other’s information, they are not sure if they will ever see each other again.

Meanwhile, Dr. Kim Fenech’s ex-boyfriend is back wanting to rekindle their relationship after dumping her months ago, and Theo’s sister-in-law are trying to set him up with a friend.  But will these two individuals ever find each other again?  And how far will each go to find each other?

For the most part, this is a delightful holiday film.  And you can always tell the difference in budget and quality with these holiday telefilms, as the storytelling and the sets were well-planned.  But I also found the characters to have good chemistry and the storyline to be a bit different from what you usually get each year.

Of course, you have the cliche of days that past and there are moments where the two just miss each other by moments, but for the most part, this is a happy feel good Christmas romance holiday film worth watching!

Definitely a thumbs up for “Destined at Christmas”.
