“Paramore’s “brand new eyes” is a magnificent album. It’s one thing to enjoy all songs on the album but in repeated listens, your mind starts to notice all the other elements in this album. From the vocals, the music, the songwriting but also the sheer emotion. Just listen to the track such as “All I Wanted” and the song absolutely touches your soul. Personally it’s not hard to fall in love with this Paramore and just to think that this band is young and still has much more music to give. Highly recommended!”

Paramore’s third full-length is magnificent! The band has set the bar much higher with the release of “brand new eyes”!
The Grammy Award nominated band from Tennessee consists of Hayley Williams (lead vocalist/keyboard), Josh Farro (lead guitar and background vocals), Jeremy Davis (bass guitar), Zac Farro (drums) and Taylor York (rhythm/lead guitar).
The band definitely came out fierce with their second album “Riot!” which grabbed the attention of American and UK media in 2007 and in 2008, garnered even more fans as the band’s music was featured in the film “Twilight” and their song “Decode” was the lead single from the soundtrack (their other song “Caught Myself”was also featured on the album).
But now the band returns with their third full-length album titled “brand new eyes” produced by Rob Cavallo. Back in July, when the band released their first single from the album titled “ignorance”, I felt that Paramore has just raised the bar for their music as I was very impressed by the single and easily, highly anticipating the release of this album.
There is just something about Hayley Williams that really brings some excitement to the band’s music. It’s almost hypnotic in someway but from the first track “Careful” to tracks such as “Ignorance”, “Brick by Boring Brick”, “Where the Lines Overlap” and “All I Wanted”… her vocals takes these songs to a higher level and combined with the music, just on my first listen to this album, I can easily tell how “brand new eyes” just stood out from the band’s previous releases.
But the allure of Paramore’s music is not limited to just the faster, heavy hitting tracks. There is also magic within the slower tempo tracks and these tracks are definitely where your mind tends to zero in on William’s brilliance as a songwriter. The lyrics on this album are well done and tracks such as “Playing God”, “Turn It Off”, “The Only Exception” and “Misguided Ghosts”.
In fact, those who have fallen for Williams lyrics were quick to take advantage of purchasing the limited deluxe box edition of “brand new eyes” (limited to 15,000 copies and all were sold out in the United States) and features two bonus tracks and a 40-page hardcover book with Hayley’s handwritten lyrics and notes on the album. In addition, to a 7″ yellow vinyl album with an acoustic version of “ignorance” and “where the lines overlap”, a DVD and more.
Overall, “brand new eyes” is a magnificent album.
Paramore’s “brand new eyes” has set the bar much higher as this album is just fantastic from beginning to end. Highly recommended!
