The One about the BAGARAATAN Samurai Sword Shift Knob

When it comes to shift knobs, there is quite a variety on the market. But from Asia, we will see something come along that is never expected and in this case, a samurai sword shift knob.

For my review, I will be taking a look at the BAGARAATAN Samurai Sword Shift Knob and the version I received was decorated in red.

First, let’s talk about the Tsuba (the round portion/guard). This was really well-made with the dragon design. At first, I thought it would be some cheaply made material but it turned out to be much better than I expected.

The tsuka handle is black with gold, while the tsuka ito is a red cloth wrap (like expensive shoelaces). It also comes with various mounting tools, screws, spring and adapters.

I’ve changed many shift knobs in my life, but I’m not quite sure of what the primary purpose is the spring. But the sleeve and demolition rod, I do understand.

For the most part, those with modern vehicles will just need the screw adapter which the shift knob can easily be spun clock wise to tighten in place (counter clockwise to remove it).

But the best part of this shift knob is the overall design of creating what looks like a sword and they do offer a few different colors.

The only thing I caution is to not go too big. I think 7.8 or 5.9 (15cm) is better for many people, anything else over 9 inches may be too high and may hit your steerwing wheel or your arms may end up hitting it. So, try to avoid going to big and you should be fine.
