The One about the RMZ City Chevrolet Camaro (1:36)

When it comes to diecast metal companies in China, RMZ City is well-known for creating 1:36 and 1:64 scale of vehicles. But they are also one of the most inexpensive die-cast metal cars that I have come across considering its size.

Priced at under $12, the RMZ City Chevrolet Camaro (1:36) (NOTE: Other companies may use a different name such as TOKAXI, but when you receive the vehicle, the RMZ City is underneath it), the vehicle is no doubt cool, full of detail and also come with rubber tires.

Available in red/white or yellow/black, I opted for yellow/black and features a zinc alloy body, driver and passenger doors open easily and has a roll-back function, so you can pull back the car and release and it will continue forward for a distance.

While I am unsure what year this vehicle was, I will take a guess it’s based on the 2006 or 2011 Chevrolet Camaro yellow/black aka the Transformers live action movie Bumble Bee car.

Of course, there are many variations of this yellow/black car since it was first introduced back in 1977. But one thing remains constant is that there were generations of Chevy Camaros that had the two black stripes on the hood and trunk area with a black lined stroke around the black stripes (there are those without the stripes as well).

The car is 5 inches wide and 1.8 inches in diameter and for the most part, it’s really well-made.

I have to say that similar to the gaming scene where Chinese companies were able to create wonderful mechanical keyboards and gaming mice that surpass the most expensive gaming brand products, we are starting to see Chinese companies that have managed to create fantastic molds and awesome diecast metal vehicles.

Some that have bad paint jobs, some with very good paint jobs and I can tell you that this car alone has a wonderful paint job. No messy painting.

They may not have the big brand name but I think we are seeing Chinese companies releasing quality products for the fraction of the price that you would see at the store from other major brands, so I think it’s going to be quite interesting, because this is a fantastic diecast vehicle and the added detail, the opening and closing door gimmick and the fact that you can pull it back to make it roll, plus the fact that the vehicle has rubber tires, this is a wonderful car.

And for those wondering, RMZ City has a disclaimer underneath that the car is licensed.  It comes with a box and also a garage like cardboard container (that comes with a mini screwdriver to remove the car from the plastic on the bottom of the cardboard container.

The RMZ City Chevrolet Camaro (1:36) is recommended!
