Tomytec will release the N-gauge model train “West Kyushu Shinkansen N700S-8000 Series (N700S Seagull) Set” from the company’s model train brand “Tomix” in March. The price is 21,780 yen.
The N700S is a Shinkansen train that began operation in 2020, and is currently active on the Tokaido and Sanyo Shinkansen lines.
The West Kyushu Shinkansen, which opened in the fall of 2022, also introduced an improved version of this type and operates under the train name ‘Kamome’. This product reproduces a new body that is different from the N700S of the Tokaido / Sanyo Shinkansen.
The car reproduces the 2×2 rows of reserved seats.
JR Kyushu approved, the TOMIX 98817 – West Kyushu Shinkansen N700S-8000 Series (N700S Kamome) Set reproduces the N700S and the car nujmbers are selectable and comes with a transfer sheet.
The JR Mark, car # (on the car body and roof), non-smoking mark and warning display on the roof are printed.
Headlights are featured in white while taillights have red LED’s.
Equipped with a moveable hood, adopted hook and U-Shaped coupler, adopted power with a flywheel, new power collection system and silver wheels and operates on a M-13 motor.
