Years after their personal and professional breakup, Georgia (Reba McEntire) and Joe (John Schneider) agree to reunite after their daughter, Belle (Candice King), asks them to participate in a Christmas Charity concert.

As we continue our holiday marathon through the end of the year, for day 52, I am watching “Reba McEntire’s Christmas in Tune”.

The Lifetime telefilm is courtesy of mother/daughter producing team, Paula Hart and actress Melissa Joan Hart.  I always have to say that holiday telefilms from Hartbreak Films are holiday telefilms that are top notch and entertaining.

The film is directed by Emily Moss Wilson (“Private Practice”, “Christmas in Mississippi”) and written by Juliet Giglio and Keith Giglio.

The holiday telefilm stars singer/actress Reba McEntire (“Reba”, “Tremors”, “The Little Rascals”), John Schneider (“The Dukes of Hazzard”, “Smallville”, “Sydney White”), Candice King (“The Vampire Diaries”, “After We Collided”, “Deadgirl”), Justin David (“NCIS: New Orleans”), Dayanari Umana and Norm Lewis (“Sex and the City 2”, “Les Miserables in Concert: The 25th Anniversary”).

I have to say that it’s a blast to see this holiday telefilm.  I watched her television series “Reba” (2001-2007) ever week and John Schneider, many of us grew up watching him on “The Dukes of Hazard” or watching him as Jonathan Kent on “Smallville”.

So, it’s good to see these two talented individuals in a holiday film.

The film revolves around Belle (portrayed by Candice King), the daughter of popular country singers Georgia Winter (portrayed by Reba McEntire) and Joe (portrayed by John Schneider).

Once upon a time, these two were a popular singing duo but due to differences, they separated and have not really spoken to each other.

But for Belle, she has a special opportunity to get the US Military as a client for her agency, that is if she can make one thing happen.

And that is to do a special one night concert featuring her parents.

Of course, Georgie is a bit hesitant and she is still a bit upset towards Joe of how their marriage ended.  But in the spirit of Christmas and wanting to help her daughter, she says “yes” and Joe says “yes” and so, these two will have to find a way to come together for a one night concert.

But as they plan things out, they start to learn more about why certain decision were made during their marriage.  And maybe may learn that they still love each other through this experience.

Break out the tissues folks, this romantic comedy will no doubt make you shed some tears.  It’s such a beautiful holiday telefilm, “Reba McEntire’s Christmas In Tune” is definitely recommended!
