As there were a few Pickleball companies in the beginning, with a few dozen to now over a thousand.
With this latest review, I am checking out the elifine Pickleball Paddles Set which comes with a total of four paddles and eight balls (sevven outdoor and two indoor). All this for less than $90.
First, let’s talk about the bag. The bag is a standard paddle bag. All four paddles can fit inside the bag.and there is a mesh pocket outside of the bag to hold extra balls. There is also a strap for one to wear over their shoulder or carrying it through the top.
The paddle features a black edge border with a cool green black/green surface.
Paddle specs are 15.51″ H x 7.87″ W. The weight is about 7.7 oz and features a grip length of 4.9 inches. So, you get a bigger width than other paddles by a margin, but that means a larger sweet spot.
The paddle features a polypropylene honeycomb core and a fiberglass surface.
As for the fiberglass surfaces versus the carbon and graphite surface, fiberglass used to be the most common material for paddles but many are now carbon fiber or graphite. Fiberglass offers the most power and not as stiff as other surfaces. But while it is great for redirecting the energy of the ball, because the material is not as stiff, you feel more energy which allows the ball to go further.
But the fact that you get four paddles for under $80 is a great deal! Including the seven balls (as usually it’s $2.00-$2.50 per ball) and a bag. If anything, this is more for beginners and something you probably want to give to kids to learn on.
While they are not USA Pickleball Approved, they are pretty much the standard traditional size and would be fine for families to use and play with or even for practice use.
If anything, this is a great entry paddle for those who want to get into pickleball.
Overall, the elifine Pickleball Paddles Set is a set for families to enjoy. Beginner paddles to have for workout or practice.
