OMOTESANDO HILLS Christmas Illumination 2022 kicks off on November 16th through Christmas Day.
A gorgeous “floating light Christmas tree” using about 14,000 balloons
The balloon artist unit “DAISY BALLOON” is appointed for this year’s Christmas illumination production.
With the theme of “floating balloon tree of light”, approximately 14,000 balloons, each made by hand, will be used to create a Christmas illumination that uses the entire atrium space that is the symbol of OMOTESANDO HILLS. In the center, a glowing tree with a height of about 9m, made up of small balloons, appears. Countless balloons are also scattered on the top, forming a large undulation that expresses how the energy of the joy of Christmas spreads.
In the special performance of sound and light that is held every 20 minutes, the color of the tree in the center changes according to the music written especially for this event by composer and pianist Hirai Mamiko, creating a fantastical atrium space. wrapped in light.

DAISY BALLOON
An artist unit consisting of balloon artist Hososaede and art director/graphic designer Takashi Kawata. Since its formation in 2008, it has produced numerous works composed of balloons under the theme of “sensation and quality.” They are reminiscent of buildings with delicate details, and attract many people.
