For today’s mechanical gaming keyboard review, I take a look at the FIRSTBLOOD ONLY Game. AK35I Hot-Swappable Mechanical Keyboard.
For those not familiar with the “Bloody” gaming brand, it’s part of A4Tech Co., Ltd., which is a private Taiwan-based computer hardware and electronics company founded back in 1987.
In 2011, the company started to focus on their secondary gaming brand, Bloody Gaming and is known for their Light Strike technology but what I found interesting is their collaboration with AJAZZ in 2021 with the F15 Gaming Mouse.
But a collaboration I have been hoping to see is FIRSTBLOOD ONLY Game. with AJAZZ for mechanical gaming keyboards.
Not to say that previously reviewed FIRSTBLOOD ONLY Game. mechanical keyboards were bad. They were inexpensive budget price gaming keyboards but I felt that a collaboration with AJAZZ would be epic.
For those not familiar with AJAZZ, they are part of the Epomaker family and Epomaker has surged in popularity among gamers who want high quality gaming gear without the big brand gaming price.
In fact, Epomaker products, are sometimes rebranded as AJAZZ/NACODEX, but this time around, we are seeing an AJAZZ/FIRSTBLOOD ONLY Game. collab.
The FIRSTBLOOD ONLY Game. AK35I Hot-Swappable Mechanical Keyboard is a Hot-Swap mechanical keyboard and has the AJAZZ logo.
The red switch version which features white and pink has been on backorder for ages but now with the collaboration with FIRSTBLOOD ONLY Game., the hard to find red switch version is now available on Amazon.
As mentioned, the red switch version is featured in pink and white (with a sillver base). It features hot-swappable PCB allowing one to replace most the 3-pin switches freely with Cherry, Gateron, Kailh, etc.
It’s a fully illuminated mechanical keyboard, featuring white backlit that shines through the ABS double-shot injection molded keycaps. It has three layers programmable & N-key rollover (A1/A2/A3, different key functions can be set through driver and macro record, allowing for personalized function keys) and scroll knob for volume control and you have buttons to track forward or rewind and pause.
The keyboard is wired and features a CNC case and plate and for the $65, this is adequately priced for this type of mechanical keyboard, especially with a volume knob, red key switches and most importantly, being hot-swappable.
This is also a mechanical keyboard that features the numeric keys and a total of 104 keys total.
The keyboard comes with backup switches (blue clicky and black liner switches, not sure why they didn’t include red cherry mx linear switches, and it also comes with a keypuller).
Now, is there anything I can nitpick? Well, many gamers who don’t like pink may wish for a different color. There is a blue switch clicky version that is dark purple and white. But more color variations for the red switch version would be awesome.
I have been quite pleased with the epomaker/AJAZZ mechanical keyboards and the fact that FIRSTBLOOD Only Game. is collaborating with AJAZZ, one can hope that the collaboration continues because this has the potential to become big, considering many people have been wanting certain mechanical keyboards to be released stateside, future FIRSTBLOOD Only Game./AJAZZ collaborations are something to keep an eye on!
The FIRSTBLOOD ONLY Game. AK35I Hot-Swappable Mechanical Keyboard is recommended!
