For today’s gaming headset review, I’m checking out the Black Shark X2 7.1 Spatial Surround Sound Gaming Headset.
For those not familiar with Black Shark, the Chinese company is known for their gaming smart phones, especially their latest Black Shark 5 Pro and was established in 2017 and is backed by Xiaomi (the second largest manufacturer of smartphones in the world which run on the MIUI operating system).
And while most of the things they are known for are for smartphone gaming through their smartph9ones and earbuds, the company has since released gaming keyboards, gaming mats, mice and headsets.
And they have released the Black Shark Goblin X4 that are wireless and Goblinx X2 that is wired.
The headsets offered a superior 7.1 spatial surround sound, detachable noise cancelling mic and 50mm drivers.
And the best thing about this headset is that for $50 the headset offers much clearer sound and good bass compared to other headsets that offer similar specs.
I do like how the headset plugs into a volume setting connector that control the volume of the headphones and the mic, with a center button to turn the 7.1 spatial surround sound off and on.
For those that don’t care about the 7.1 spatial surround sound and prefers a mic that is not detachable, then fans of the Goblin X1 may prefer for that headset and it’s much cheaper because its $29.99.
But having tested this headset for a week now and I can say that I really like the sound and the bass it gives. The headset does give great sound and good bass. And most importantly, it’s quite comfortable.
The Black Shark X2 7.1 Spatial Surround Sound Gaming Headset is now one of my top three gaming headsets in the under $50 category. Many headsets tend to offer 40mm drivers but Black Shark delivers with 50mm and a detachable mic for the X2.
Great price, very good sound and very comfortable! Recommended!
