The One about the WIZMAX PC Gaming Headset WH1 – RGB USB Wired Gaming Headset

For today’s headset, I am reviewing the WIZMAX PC Gaming Headset WH1 – RGB USB Wired Gaming Headset.

WIZMAX is a gaming company under Hanmi Micronics Global (an electronics company that has been around since 2005) and is based in South Korea (a country known for its entertainment and culinary side, but also known for their hardcore gamers and its competitive e-sports academies) and also location in the Philippines, and the gaming company was established back in 2005.

While many may not be familiar with WIZMAX, including myself, considering I review a lot of gaming hardware from all over the world, aside from K-Pop, Korean food/restaurants and Korean culture events, I have not really reviewed any gaming companies based in South Korea. So, I’m looking forward to reviewing this company’s products.

First-up, I am reviewing the WIZMAX PC Gaming Headset WH1 – RGB USB Wired Gaming Headset, one of the three next to the MH1 and MH2.

This is a PC headset and while I do review console headsets, I love PC gaming headsets because they are primarily are USB, they are plug and play, none of the static or problems with a 3.5mm port and everything is pretty much ready to go.

The headset features an RGB effect outside the headset and LED around the mic (with an option to turn it on or off), the headset also provides virtual 7.1 surround sound and is a noise cancelling gaming headset (with an option to turn it off and on).

With its price point, one of the things that people will notice that it’s a 50mm driver and not the usual 40mm driver at $50 or under.

It comes with a tough longer cable (I am estimating it to be 4 ft.) which is a plus.

It offers stereo 2.0, a virtual 7.1 surround sound and spatial sound.

The mic is bendable and has a switch on the headset to turn on or turn off noise canceling. And a button to turn on/off the LED.

But as mentioned, one of the primary things that I like about this price for a headset that it offers a 50mm neodymium drivers. Many companies offer 40mm dynamic drivers and the difference is 50mm gives you more bass.

You get noise isolating ear cap cushion with a 30mm thick cushion and is fabric-based, not leather so no oversweating from the leather.

Headband adjusts to headshape and the headset also has volume control.

I was hoping there would be software available as the website does mention there is one in the data center, but all I was able to find is the manual. I would love to have more control over the sound, especially if you can adjust treble, bass, etc.

Also, similar to their software for gaming keyboard/mice, I would love for the headset to have programmable colors. The rainbow colors are fine but sometimes I prefer a solid color.

For the most part, the WIZMAX PC Gaming Headset WH1 is no doubt a headset to consider at the $50 pricepoint because it offers a 50mm driver, which many other companies tend to offer 40mm at this pricepoint. So, you do get more bass.

But do know that the WH1, MH1 and MH2 have all the same specs, are all that same price but different design and lighting effects.

Overall, if you want a gaming headset with a 50mm driver that provides great bass without having to spend over $50, then definitely consider the WIZMAX PC Gaming Headset WH1 – RGB USB Wired Gaming Headset.
