In today’s review, I’m going to check out the Chinese brand HNATUY, who are known for creating inexpensive Quartz watches, especially their wood watches.
While the company has many types of watches (their website is not so functional), I decided to give their HNATUY Men’s Leather Business Watch a try. While I’m not a Quartz watch enthusiasts and automatic watches are my preference, I will try watches when its overall look captivates my attention.
I think what caught my interest in the HNATUY Men’s Leather Business Watch is the fact that it looks like a World Time Watch but is it? That’s what I wanted to know, so I decided, to find out for myself.
The watch is quite interesting as it features a wooden case, which is unique.
As you can see, it looks like a World Time Watch and has a chronograph on its dial. I have to say that the watch looks sleek with its black dial, rose gold case and brown leather strap and rose gold buckle. I love the outer dial with the countries listed.
So, this has a chronograph. Typically the 10:00 p.m. chronograph is minutes elapsed within a 30 minute segment, the chronograph in the 2:00 p.m. is how much has elapsed 1/10th of a second and the chronograph is the seconds. You have your top pusher button and bottom pusher button.
Most chronographs have a second hand that doesn’t move until you press the top button. This is not the case with this HNATUY watch, the seconds hand is already running and I don’t even know if the top pusher button is even functional. I tried removing the crown in different segments but nada.
The only thing that truly works is the bottom pusher for the chronograph in the 6:00 p.m. area. By extending the crown by a second click, I was able to push the bottom pusher to align it easily.
So, either the top pusher is not working or this is not a true chronograph.
As for the date, it utilizes the old school way of changing the date, that is winding the crown every 24 hours until you get the correct date.
The watch is water resistance up to 50m.
But for the most part, at under $44, you are getting a sleek looking watch but its functions are limited. If anything, this is a watch that is more for looks than function. This is not a true World Time Watch, it’s more of a faux World Time Watch and as for the chronograph, I may have a messed up top pusher button that doesn’t work. So, it’s hard to say.
Otherwise, the HNATUY Men’s Leather Business Watch, while it looks sleek, and it does tell the time. As for the chronograph, I may have a bad top pusher button, so I can’t review it completely.
