“Staging Christmas” is a positive film that is entertaining for the family but also one that brings good vibes and has that Christmas spirit. Recommended!

Lori stages homes for a living and her busiest season’s Christmas! Though she normally only stages homes that are for sale, she’s intrigued when a wealthy widower named Elliot asks her to stage his home for the holidays to cheer up his daughter, Maddie. As Lori spends more and more time with them, she starts to feel like part of the family. Will she and Elliott fall in love in the process?
And we have reached the final day of my holiday film marathon and it’s Lifetime Television’s “Staging Christmas”.
Directed by Amy Barrett and Anna White, the telefilm stars Soleil Moon Frye (“Punky Brewster”, “Sabrina the Teenage Witch”), George Stults (“7th Heaven”), Jaleel White (“Family Matters”, “Big Fat Liar”, “Dreamgirls”), Mia Clark, Karina Segura, Karli Hall (“The Hollow Point”, “Being Charlie”), Malinda Money (“High School Musical”, “Code of Honor”) and more.
“Staging Christmas” revolves around Lori (portrayed by Soleil Moon Frye), who works for a home staging company owned by Mr. Lexington (portrayed by Jaleel White).
Mr. Lexington tells Lori that she is in the running for a top position to run their New York division. Meanwhile, the company Christmas party is in jeopardy because the location of where the party would be held, had to cancel. Lori knows this could be a way to help put her in the top running for the position, if she can find a new location for the Christmas party.
For Lori, she hasn’t been much into Christmas since her mother died when she was younger and so she tends to work a lot during the holidays.
Meanwhile, Everett (portrayed by George Stults) is an owner of a successful coffee shop and he along with his sister Nickky (portrayed by Karli Hall) are eyeing on expanding their business. But with the holidays happening, he hasn’t been as involved with his young daughter, Maddie’s (portrayed by Mia Clark) life as he would like.
Everett learns from Maddie’s teacher that she has been having a difficult time, missing her mother during the holidays. For Everett, it has been a tough three years since his wife has past and it’s also affected Maddie and he wants to make things right.
Maddie said she wants to have Christmas decorations like when her mom was still alive but even more grander like the photos she sees. Everett tries to explain to her that the homes showing of the Christmas decorations are typically done by staging companies in order to help a home get sold. But he calls to find out if he can hire a staging company and perhaps they can make their home Christmassy and make Maddie happy.
Eventually, Lori has been assigned to help out Everett and Maddie to make Christmas special. But when she sees how huge Everett’s home is, she figures what if they can hold her company’s Christmas party at his home. And Everett and Lori come to an agreement.
And the more Lori spends time with Everett and Maddie, she instantly brings happiness to their lives, and them to hers.
But with Lori up for a career promotion, can she fall in love with someone right now? Will it be her career or love?
“Staging Christmas” is a holiday film that is a romantic comedy but also a fun family film in which both Soleil Moon Frye and George Stults characters have great onscreen chemistry.
It’s just so cool to see positive film where two people make an impact on each other’s lives.
I also loved seeing Soleil Moon Frye and Jaleel White in this holiday film, two talents which many of us grew up watching when they were child actors.
But for the most part, “Staging Christmas” is a positive film that is entertaining for the family but also one that brings good vibes and has that Christmas spirit. Recommended!
