The One about Random Musings ep. #168 – Crossroad

I decided to cut my hair again. So, back to short hair as I type this and before I did get my haircut, I made one last lip sync video as part of my Random Musings.

This one is a 1993 Japanese song called “Crossroad” by Mr.Children.  It’s a song that me and my friends used to sing back in college and I look at this video as my goodbye to my long hair.

Lookin’ for love Ima Tachinarabu machi no naka de
(Looking for love in a crowded city)
Kuchizusamu “Ticket to ride” Akireru kurai kimi e no merodii
(Humming “Ticket to ride”, I’m surprised that this is my melody for you)

Tooi kioku no naka ni dake Kimi no sugata sagashitemo
(Even though I can only search for your figure within distant memories)
Mou modoranai Demo wasurenai
(I can’t go back anymore, but I can’t forget)
Itoshii hohoemi
(Your lovely smile)

Mafuyu no himawari no youni Azayakana ni yureteru
(Like a sunflower in the mid-winter, swaying vividly)
Sugisatta kisetsu ni Okiwasureta toki o
(The times which have been left behind in the passing seasons)
Mou ichido tsukamaetai
(I wish to grab hold of them once again)

Dare mo ga mune no oku ni himeta Mayoi no naka de
(Within the doubts that lies in the hearts of everyone)
Te ni shita nukumori o Sorezore ni dakishimete
(Embrace every bit of the warmth you receive)
Aratanaru michi o yuku
(Walk towards a new road)

Yuuwaku ni irotorareta Ichido dake no ayamachi o
(For a mistake I have made that one time,)
Ima mo kimi wa yurusenu mama Kurasu mainichi
(Even now, I’m still living every day of my life without your forgiveness)

Tsumetai kaze ni fukarete Tatazumu materiaru waarudo
(Being blown by the cold wind, the material world is where I stand still)
Tachidomaru cross road Samayou winding road
(I stopped at the cross road, wandering the winding road)
Kizutsukezuni wa aisenai
(I cannot love without hurting [you])

Tooku omoi kogarete Harisakesouna yoru mo
(Yearning for the distant memories, even during those heart-rending nights)
Kono te ni uketomeru
(I will also take in my hands)
Tsukano ma no kanashimi wa
Yagate kagayaku mirai e to
(The passing sadness will soon turn into a bright future)

Dakiau tabi ni itsumo Futari ayunda hibi no
Kotae o sagashitekita kedo Kuzureteku oto mo tatezuni
Hatasenu mama no yume
(Every time we embraced [it seemed like] an unfulfilling dream that collapses without even a breaking sound
(Even though I’ve looked for the answer from the days we spent together)
