Many people are big fans of Riot Games “League of Legends” (LoL).
The multiplayer online battle arena video game has been going strong since 2009 and no doubt is one of the largest esport and from the game, a virtual K-pop inspired girl group known as K/DA consisting of four themed versions of League of Legends characters: Ahri, Akali, Evelynn and Kai’Sa and features American music artist Madison Beer and Jaira Burns and K-Pop’s Miyeon and Soyeon from the group (G)I-dle.
Developed by Riot Games, the group was unveiled at the 2018 League of Legends World Championship performing their song “Pop/Stars”. With the music video surpassing 400 million views and their EP “All Out” being released in 2020 and their second single “More” surpassing over 90 million views.
And since then K/DA has achieved popularity worldwide, topping Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales charts and now there are Logitech Pro K/DA Mechanical Gaming Keyboard, G753 K/DA Lightspeed Wireless Gaming Headsets, G502 Hero K/DA High-Performance Gaming Mouser and G305 K/DA Lightspeed Wireless Gaming Mouse, G 335 K/DA Gaming Earphones and what I will be reviewing, the G840 K/DA XL Gaming Mouse Pad.
I’m quite picky about my gaming mouse pads and this is no doubt an extra large, cover your whole desk type of mousepad (900mm x 400mm, which translates to 35.4 inches x .15 inches). It’s 3mm height is good, not too thick and not too thin.
Features a rubber base and moderate surface protection. My previous mousepad used a corduroy anti-fray fabric surface and was waterproof. The G840 is sleek, smooth and the surface is fine. Unfortunately, I didn’t see anything about it being waterproof.
But it does retain the same build as Logitech’s G840 XL Gaming Mouse Pad, but of course, this one featuring the Ahri, Akali, Evelynn and Kai’Sa and the same price point at under $50. Which is appropriately price when compared to other XL mouse pads from the major brands.
It does come transported in a tube canister, so for those who are traveling gamers, definitely hold onto that tube.
Overall, I have been using this gaming mouse pad for the past week and I’ve had no issues of using my gaming mouse on it but I do wish it was waterproof but at the same time, hardcore gamers know better than to eat and drink near their expensive gaming equipment.
If you are a big fan of K/DA and “League of Legends”, I definitely recommend the Logitech G840 K/DA XL Cloth Gaming Mouse Pad.
