Hopefully AnimeJapan and the general public will be back in 2022 at the renovated Tokyo Big Sight.
AnimeJapan 2021 (public days) has completed and this year’s event was all online.
It was no doubt a different vibe seeing the industry have their own YouTube channels and streaming their panels and content. I’m quite grateful that the AJ staff and the industry came together to make it happen this year, considering 2020’s event was canceled due to the pandemic. It’s been awhile but 2019 was the last time the general public was able to come together for AnimeJapan and it’s hard to believe two years have passed.
AnimeJapan is a fun, energetic event that brings out a lot of people from all over the world, all over Japan to Tokyo.
I am hoping that everyone can come together next year in 2022 but let’s hope that the situation gets better worldwide and anime fans can enjoy AnimeJapan as they have prior to 2020 (and the same for Comic Market as well).
Congratulations to the AJ staff and industry for ensuring that AJ continues and anime fans got to see what will be coming out this year.
