When it comes to candles, homesick is a home fragrance and lifestyle brand (founded in 2016) that believes in bringing joy to people’s homes to help them feel closer to the people, places and moments that matter most.
One can find many states having their own candle through homesick and also a few with cities. I had an opportunity to try their “New York City” candle and this time around, I am trying the “New York” Scented Candle.
Similar to their other candles, this is made of natural soy wax blend, which is hand-poured in the USA.
The New York Scented Candle is quite different from New York City. In a way, New York smells like autumn.
The top notes are apple peel, nutmeg and clove, the mid-notes are cinnamon, pumpkin and hay, while base notes is fresh water and musk.
If anything, the pumpkin and nutmeg is what stands out. Again, an autumn type of scent.
It’s a very pleasant and elegant smell and I like it a lot. The Homesick New York Scented Candle (2020 Version) may be a bit pricey at $34, especially for a smaller candle with no lid. But it does smell very good, It’s not too strong and its definitely worth checking out!
