I own numerous cloth-based masks that have a pocket for a filter.
I recently have been looking to changing out the filters and discovered the the LEWEREI PM2.5 Activated Carbon Filters.
These filters are about $9 and you get 30 of them and they offer five layers of protection.
The first layer features the cloth filter for micron-level dust, a 2nd layer for industrial pollutants, automobile exhaust, passive smoking and pollen allergens. A third layer of active carbon cloth filters out micron-level dust, a fourth layer which offers filter density for smaller material and a fifth layer of cloth filter out of all kinds of harmful substances.
There is a bit of a chemical smell from these carbon filters, but then again, they have a layer of activated carbon. So, for those sensitive to smells, may have an issue with them. [It’s important to note that I have another carbon filter mask and it also has the smell of activated carbon]
But if you are not sensitive to smells, the LEWEREI PM2.5 Activated Carbon Filters are worth checking out and if you are owners of cloth masks that take a filter, these PM2.5 filters work perfect!
