I had a chance to give the FEDOUR Aquarium Air Pump, Whisper Aerator with Accessories a try and I have to say among the dual air pumps that I own, this one has three things positive things about it.
One, it’s a dual outlet, two there is a control for flow and three it’s quiet.
The pump is easy to connect tubes, very quiet and is shockproof. Thanks to the soft rubber feet, no worries of the pump moving on its own and falling. And thanks to its bigger size and its weight, it does stay in place.
At 3W, the pump is suitable for a 10 gallon or 5 gallon tank. As mentioned, you can use the control knob, so you have an adjustable control for air flow.
So, this is great for those who believe in having two sponge filters or an airstone. I actually have one with a sponge tank and a big airstone in a 10 gallon.
You also get an air hose, 2 air stones, 2 return and 2 regulating valves, a T Connectors along with the air pump.
I had another FEDOUR and it has worked perfectly well and I expect the same for this. It is definitely quiet, but of course, if you have the pump running at maximum, you can probably hear a buzz, keep it 50% and you are fine. But it all depends on how much air bubbles or surface agitation one is needing.
Overall, the FEDOUR Aquarium Air Pump, Whisper Aerator with Accessories is sold for a great price at under $14. You get a quiet and powerful air pump with two outlets that works wonderfully for 10+ gallon tanks. It’s not a whole lot of power compared to a 5W dual outlet pump, but its enough for a sponge filter or two and air stones.
