The One about the LINE FRIENDS Flagship Store in Harajuku

When it comes to Japan, specifically when it comes to social media, one must think that the majority is on Facebook but the truth in the matter is that the most popular are LINE, TWITTER, INSTAGRAM, YOUTUBE, TIKTOK.  And when it comes to communication with friends, it’s not Facebook, it’s LINE.

So, if you are traveling to Japan and you want to keep in touch with your new friends, a question you will be asked is, “What is your LINE name?” or “Can I get your LINE QR Code?”.

LINE can be seen like Twitter but instead of seeing many people posting and what is the popular hashtag, it’s focused on the people your interested in.  But for me, it’s the only way I can communicate with friends in Japan who could care less about Facebook.

And another popular thing that people like about LINE is the LINE STICKERS, which characters for LINE can be seen as merch at their very own LINE FRIENDS Flagship Store in Harajuku.  I was at the LINE FRIENDS Store to celebrate the first anniversary and check out the cool LINE FRIENDS merch.

If you are fans of the LINE FRIENDS characters and want stuffed animals, food or accessories, please check out the LINE FRIENDS store past Takeshita Street in Harajuku, across from the H&M store.
