For those who own nanotanks, may it be freshwater or saltwater, one may want to check out the LUXCARE Marine Saltwater Reef Coral Aquarium Light.
The light features 80 Full Spectrum LED’s and because of its size, it really does give good coverage in your tank.
I am using the 12-18 inch version and you get two lighting modes, Blue LED for coral growth (for saltwater nanotanks) or white light, great for freshwater, especially for plants.
I’m currently using this for a 5 gallon quarantine tank and I can tell you right now, the amount of light coverage to this tank, is much better than any LED light that I have used for a nano-tank.
Here are positives:
- Two light modes: Blue and White
- Comes with a remote to set the timer from 4H, 8H or 12H and you can increase or decrease the light intensity.
- Great amount of light for coverage.
- Adjustable slide arms for those with 3.5 to 5 gallon.
The light is appropriately price at $43. Typically when you purchase LED lights, it’s just one row of what is featured on this light, which has three rows.
If growing live plants, because this gives good amount of coverage, does ensure better plant growth but also enough for your fish.
If anything, do your research because some competitors may have the same light for cheaper.
Again, I only have tested this with freshwater, not saltwater nanotanks or growing coral. But on my quarantine 5 gallon tank, I absolutely like this light and I do recommend the LUXCARE Marine Saltwater Reef Coral Aquarium Light.
