I have been looking for a different thermometer for my aquarium. One positive, technology has changed for aquarium heaters, gone are the days of a stronger fish hitting it and the glass exploding and all your fish being electrocuted.
But there are still some issues with some fish wanting to gravitate towards the heater and getting stuck between the glass and the heater and also when putting it to your tank to submerge, when you put it towards the bottom and not knowing that an unsuspecting/curious fish is there, not knowing that the heater is about to come down on it. Bad memories.
These days, you can get these cool digital heaters that work as a digital thermometer and heater and they are so easy to use.
And that leads to my review of the YukiHalu Small Size Submersible Aquarium Heater.
Just attach the three suction cups to the back of the heating unit and put it inside your tank. (Note: My curious fish still like to be around it) but it’s small enough that it’s submerged but doesn’t have to be all the way down to your gravel. It heats the water just fine.
How to program, just hold down the button on the remote for a few seconds until it flashes and then set your heater (no way to go up or down unfortunately but just keep tapping the button until you get the temperature desired and stop, it will flash again and it goes to work, heating the water to what you set it at).
It goes from 64 F to 93 F but I’m just glad it works well, it tells me what temperature the water is and its under $19!
The YukiHalu Small Size Submersible Aquarium Heater is highly recommended!
