When it comes to LED lights, the Acksky LED Aquarium Light, Color Changing Fish Tank Light with Remote Control works perfectly with a breeding tank that I’m utilizing.
For one, a lot of aquarium kits come with hoods that do not have an LED replacement and second, the LED lights that do come with them are lacking when it comes to lighting when you need to provide enough lighting for live aquarium plants.
You have a choice of two lights: One that is 6.2 inches (great for 9-12 inch tanks) and has 9 LED’s or a 10.2 inch aquarium light for 12-18 inch tanks and has 15 LED’s and these lights are submersible!
So, I have been looking at the Acksky LED Aquarium Light, Color Changing Fish Tank Light with Remote Control which comes with 16 colors and 4 modes.
The lights use 5050 imported lamp beads that are 50% brighter than standard LED fish tank lights and have suction cups that can be adjusted.
A remote control allows one to select one of the 16 colors, and has 4 dynamic modes such as flash, strobe, fade or smooth and also five level brightness. If you happen to lose the remote, fortunately, the switch can be used to choose from the primary R, G, B, W.
While I can see people using lights to probably create something cool with a GloFish but truthfully, I only use it for the White and I can control the dim switch to keep things bright and dim it depending on the live plants I have.
But overall, this is a fantastic LED light for those who are looking for an inexpensive light source for a 5 gallon or less tank.
The Acksky LED Aquarium Light, Color Changing Fish Tank Light with Remote Control is recommended!
