I decided to give the PULACO Ultra Quiet Aquarium Air Pump Dual Outlet a try! Anything to bring more oxygen to the fish which I have in my tanks.
With this air pump, you actually get more for your money with a dual outlet pump, two large air stones, two suction cups, Y splitter, 10 ft. of air tubing, two adapters to prevent water going back into the outlets and a manual.
All this for under $18! Most pet shops sell the pump itself for $16, so already it’s a great deal!
But how well does it work?
For the most part, this is a quiet pump that puts out a lot of air. Everything works as expected, but there are somethings you should know.
The tubing is flimsy. It works, but if you prefer the more harder, clearer plastic tubing, you may want to purchase that separately. Otherwise, the flimsy tubing works. I just prefer tubing that doesn’t kink as easily.
The large airstones work very well. The suction cups held the tubing very well and the adapters worked perfectly as well. As for the Y Splitter, it works also very well.
Overall, this is great for 10-100 gallon aquariums. Quiet, powerful and you have two outlets for more oxygen or to utilize one pump for multiple tanks.
