I have numerous guitar tuners and I have to say that when I reviewed the JOYO Guitar Tuner , I was a bit impressed by the overall look compared to another popular color guitar tuner.
The tuner can tune your chromatic, guitar, bass, violin and ukulele. The tuner can clip on the head of your guitar/uke and unlike other guitar tuners, this one has an LCD color display.
I do like the color displays, although I found it interesting to have the little drums on the corners but I was surprised to see the BPM counter.
The tuner also features easy 360 rotatable clip and 135 degree tilted.
On the back is the power button and you can switch between microphone and clip mode. To switch modes, it does require using the power on/off button, I have other tuners that work the same way, so I’m not too critical about it.
The backlight dims after 5 seconds if it’s not being used, 30 seconds after use and it will shut down automatically after 3 minutes.
As for batteries, the tuner uses a CR2032.
Overall, I have to say the that the JOYO Guitar Tuner worked well and tuning my guitar and ukulele worked perfect. I didn’t have any significant problems and found it straightforward and simple to use. And at under $11, it’s definitely worth considering.
