Flight has no doubt caught the attention of many ukulele buyers, thanks to YouTubers Elise Ecklund, Edith Ecklund, Bernadette (of Bernadette Teaches Music), Katie DeNure and numerous others.
Suffice to say, Flight has taken on a proactive social media campaign and it’s working as people have been turning their attention to Flight ukuleles.
And no, the company is not based in Hawaii. It’s actually based in Slvoenia.
But what became a major hit among people who want to travel and play ukulele is their Flight TUS35 series.
Made of plastic, whats impressive is the sound that comes out of these soprano travel ukuleles.
I am reviewing the Flight TUS35 Dark Blue Travel Soprano Ukulele which comes with a blue bag of a similar color, comes with a catalog and stickers.
The body is built from plastic as mentioned with a laminate linden top.
And what I love about this ukulele, as mentioned is the sound. It’s also a ukulele that I can depend on and not worry too much about tuning every five minutes. I can jam on it for a good while until I have to tune it again.
If anything, for beginners, it’s actually a good first time ukulele buy because it can take a beating, you can take it outdoors and to be truthfully, it sounds so much better than some cheaply made soprano laminated wood ukuleles.
If anything, you are getting a great quality travel soprano ukulele. I know some are considering a Luna Waterman or Shark because of price, but these Flight Travel Soprano’s sound so much better, look so much better and you have various varieties.
But one thing that I want to see from Flight is to offer a concert or tenor version of their travel series. Yes, the goal is to keep them small for easy storage, but I would love to have a concert or tenor size that can be played in the elements, the beach and have that same great sound, durability but in a larger size.
Overall, the Flight TUS35 Travel Soprano Ukulele series is highly recommended!
