The One about “Final Fantasy VII Remake”

I am a huge fan of “Final Fantasy” but moreso for games prior to “Final Fantasy XII”.

I was an absolute hardcore fan of the original NES game, the releases for SNES and from then on the “Playstation” related games.

For the original “Final Fantasy VII” game, I remember pre-ordering early for the game and when it came out, going to the midnight launch to get my free t-shirt.

And then getting the original Playstation demo in Japan not long after.

But it’s a game I was heavily invested in and it’s a game that I will not say it’s perfect, I felt that while I enjoyed the game, the music and characters, it left me feeling unsatisfied.

I think that’s why, I loved “Final Fantasy VIII” even more, because I felt there was no proper closure for “Final Fantasy VII”.

We would have “Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII” on the Sony PSP which is like the prequel focusing on Shinra soldier Zack (who plays a role in “Final Fantasy VII” and I heard also on remake) and “Final Fantasy VII Advent Children” to continue on the story but I was really waiting for “Final Fantasy VII” remake.

To see if they would tweak the storyline to make things better.

And nearly seven hours into the game so far, I can easily say that this is the game that I had wanted.  From character development which explores the members of Avalanche and Cloud’s relationships with others, including Tifa so far earlier on.

These are expanded storylines but storylines that help develop these characters that you sincerely care about each of them.

Who knew how awesome Jessie, Biggs and Wedge would be?

I am absolutely loving this game so far and while “Final Fantasy VII” was a game that really took a long time, especially due to random encounters and the time it took to level up your characters, today’s “Final Fantasy” games are less about those long walks on maps, random encounters but focus a lot on visual presentation.  If you get a great story, that’s even better!

The cool thing is you can play in various modes, including classic.  But for now, I’m just playing and enjoying the game and feel like on an entertaining ride.  Granted, there were a few side quests that made me want to fall asleep but other than that, I’m enjoying the game so much that I can’t wait to play [note: because of my backlog, I’m playing this and “Animal Crossing: New Horizons” right now].

But what an awesome game this is turning out to be!  I have to admit, I don’t think I have enjoyed a “Final Fantasy” game this much since “Final Fantasy X”.  So, it’s been awhile.

I definitely recommend this game!

If you loved the original, then you owe it to yourself to give “Final Fantasy VII Remake” a try!
