For the consumer looking for a PC to do their work, go on the Internet and do non-heavy duty gaming will find the Acer Aspire TC-885-ACCFLi30 Desktop to fit their needs for years to come.
The PC comes with an 8th Gen Intel Core i3-8100, 8GB of DDR4 Ram +16GB Optane Memory and a 1TB 7200 RPM Hard Drive.
Also, you get a USB 3.1 Type-C port, USB 3.1 ports Gen 1 and 2, 4 USB 2.0 ports, 2 HDMI ports and a VGA port. NOTE: There are no DisplayPorts.
The computer is perfect for consumer use, may it be working on Microsoft or other type of Office work, light designing and gaming and so forth.
Some may wonder can this work for games, the answer is yes. But truth be told, it depends on what types of games. If you are going to do basic gaming, may it be through STEAM or what’s offered via Microsoft Store, for the most part, you should be fine.
But if you are planning to do major shooters and so forth I would go for an i7 computer with a better video card and more RAM. High level gaming needs the power and you’ll have to pay for that power (around $1000).
But for under $450, this Acer PC allows you to play a lot of games that are on STEAM or the Microsoft Store without any hangups.
What about for graphic editing or video editing, it can definitely be done, but I do recommend another 8GB of DDR4 memory for 16 and adding an external SSD Drive (or two) to do the work and allow that external drive to be the cache drive as well. Also, so you don’t mess up your main drive (I do a lot of video editing and Photo editing and I myself have destroyed many hard drives, so get externals if you want to video/RAW photo post-processing work).
The PC comes with a wired mouse and keyboard, so if you want to go with a wireless keyboard and mouse, you’ll need to purchase one.
Setup didn’t take too long, as it’s Windows 10 Home. Just make sure you update your Windows 10 once everything is up and running.
But overall, for its price point and the power of a newer Intel Core i3-8100 processor, the Acer Aspire TC-885-ACCFLi30 Desktop is great for personal or SoHo use. And also for light gaming.
