The One about the AquaLoops Pre-Tied Drooper Loops (12 lbs. fluorocarbon – 80 loops)

I recently discovered the AquaLoops Pre-Tied Drooper Loops (12 lbs. fluorocarbon – 80 loops) and I can say that this is a great idea and product for those who want to use a Hi-Lo rig.

The loops are pre-tied and will save you so much time from creating your own loops.

While 20 lb., would be my sweet spot, I did test and try out the 12 lb. version which I figured would catch most panfish and fish I catch at our river.

So, how does it work? Think about a fluoro line spool but these come with 80 loops spread out among 12 inches.

I would cut the line above the loop you are not using and then tie one to a barrel swivel, while the two loops would be for the hooks/bead or float and the bottom would be for a weight. You can catch up to two fish at a time and it’s easy to use.

I recommend this for surf fishing, piers, wiers and areas with strong current but not so much for small or largemouth bass who prefer horizontal moving lures without a sinker. But striped bass would be perfect.

And I do recommend 20 lb. or higher if you fish around higher vegetation. I tested this to catch bluegill and crappie and I noticed with my light hi-lo rig, when it got caught in heavy vegetation areas, they would snap. Please note that this is not just AquaLoops fluoro but many fluoro brands as 20 lb, may not be the best to use, but 20 lb. – 30 lb. may work much, much better!

Overall, I really dig the AquaLoops Pre-Tied Drooper Loops. Recommended!
