The One about Fujibo Apparel launches outdoor base layer brand “GOOD FAR”

Building upon the “GRID-TEC+” line previously offered by BVD, the new line will launch at TOKYO OUTDOOR SHOW 2026. The first item, the “Field Play Tec T-shirt,” will be released on June 26th (Friday).

Fujibo Apparel Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: 1-17-4 Nihonbashi Ningyocho, Chuo-ku, Tokyo 103-0013) will launch “GOOD FAR,” an apparel brand primarily focused on base layers, to support players who take on new experiences in the outdoor field. The brand will be launched with an exhibition at “TOKYO OUTDOOR SHOW 2026,” held at Makuhari Messe from June 26th (Fri) to 28th (Sun), 2026, and the brand website will be launched on June 25th (Thu). Online product sales will be updated regularly on the Instagram account.

The tagline is “a little farther, a lot better.” If you go a little further, better experiences and scenery await you—this brand is for everyone who enjoys the outdoors, whether hiking, camping, running, or cycling.

The challenge of “price reasonableness” in outdoor base layers
Fujibo Apparel, the parent company of GOOD FAR, has been involved in the manufacture of apparel, primarily underwear, for over 70 years since its founding in 1949. High-performance base layers are generally expensive and difficult for many to afford. GOOD FAR focuses on essential functions and leverages the know-how cultivated over many years of innerwear manufacturing to offer base layers that offer a good balance of functionality and price.

Furthermore, the “GRID-TEC+” base layer, which has been offered by BVD until now, will be carried over to GOOD FAR.

Made from 100% polyester, this T-shirt offers the quick-drying properties of a rash guard while providing a cotton-like feel against the skin. It won’t feel sticky even when you sweat, and dries quickly after playing in the river. With its comfortable fit and excellent breathability, it’s perfect for people who enjoy the outdoors or cycling (or motorcycling). At launch, a special edition model featuring original illustrations by Jerry Ukai, a creator who is active as an illustrator/art director and has also completed 100-mile trail running races, will also be available.

This base layer is specifically designed for sweat wicking. Developed for activities that cause heavy sweating, such as mountain climbing and running, it aims to prevent “sweat chills” that occur when resting after activity. By focusing on sweat wicking functionality, we have ensured reasonable pricing. The lineup includes sleeveless and long-sleeved versions with thumbholes and watch holes, intended for sun protection and use in autumn and winter. The long-sleeved version can also be used by anglers to protect themselves from sunburn. In addition to the light purple color specially commissioned by Jerry Ukai, there is also a sage green color specially commissioned by Yamaaruki JP, who shares outdoor experiences, mainly mountain climbing, on YouTube and Instagram.

This popular base layer, inherited from BVD, has been updated based on user feedback. The thumbhole design now includes a watch hole, and the hood opening has been improved for easier access. Furthermore, it now features antibacterial and deodorizing properties and is made from recycled polyester. We also plan to release numerous custom designs in collaboration with experts and specialized brands in the future.
