The One about the Twisina 100 piece double barrel aluminum crimp sleeves

I have to admit that I have not had the best luck with braid to fluoro leader lines or braid to mono leader lines at times and while I do have trust in my knot making ability, I have had my fair share of line snapping. And nothing hurts more when you lose an expensive lure on your leader line.

But since I discovered double barrel aluminum crimping sleeves, it has made fishing life easier because they work so well.

So, how does it work, well you have a small double barrel (two hole) crimping sleeve. Put the line on one end and another line inside hole on the other end and making sure they don’t overlap. And if you have pliers that have a slot/groove for crimping sleeve, you just press on your plier to the sleeve and that’s it.

The goal is to crimp the middle and not the edges. But what happens if you do, well you can end up having the sleeve snap the line or cut into it.

But may you want to create a loop or connect to lines from a main line to a leader line, it may take some people time to get it right. But if it’s your first time, experiment with it, but don’t put any expensive lures until you test things out and feel comfortable about utilizing double barrel aluminum crimping sleeves.

And last but not least, there are one barrel or a double barrel, I recommend the latter because a double barrel helps create separation from the two lines.

Overall, these are pretty solid crimping sleeves and you get a 100 of them. Also, I am using 0.8mm and perfect for lines that are 0-0.6mm but yeah, for those wanting to not worry about knots and just using crimp sleeves, these particular Twisina 100 piece double barrel crimp sleeves are definitely worth owning and cheap at under $5.75.
