Summary: The 2026 shore jigging season in Kansai has begun! This time, we’re targeting amberjack off the coast of Wakayama Prefecture. As it’s a new location, we start by getting a feel for the terrain. We use a reel to carefully search for promising zones with changes in the topography. On this day, there were baitfish present, but the water was murky, resulting in low activity of the amberjack. In the midst of the large amount of baitfish and the murky water, we chose “Triple Chart” to try and get a reaction from the lure. Its appeal proved effective, and we got a response from the amberjack! Please check out how we conquered this new location. Cooperation: Sakata Ferry Service ■ Jack Eye Makimaki (2026 New Color)
