An All Nippon Airways (ANA) plane made an emergency landing at New Chitose Airport. What exactly happened? Passenger: “It was a landing unlike anything I’ve ever seen. It was like a sudden brake, a really big jolt. It was a little scary.”
At around 2:40 p.m. on the 1st, the ANA plane, carrying 323 passengers and crew, was en route from Haneda Airport to New Chitose Airport. Fire department report: “The temperature of the left engine is rising.” It was confirmed that the left side of the engine had become overheated for some reason during the flight, and it was shut down.
