The One about the Audrey II Horror House F-C7814Y03 Set

When it comes to Lepin releases, I’m always on the lookout for modular type of sets.

Many are aware of the wonderful but yet super expensive modular sets offered by the popular brick company from Denmark. But we are starting to see some amazing building sets from China.

The Audrey II Horror House F-C7814Y03 Set is no doubt inspired by the popular film “The Little Shop of Horrors” about flowershop workers Seymour and Audrey, a flower shop based in fictional skid row type of an area. Audrey convinces Seymour to display a plant to bring in customers and so, they bought a plant which is called “Audrey II” from a Chinese flower shop during the solar eclipse. Seymour accidentally pricks his finger and discovers Audrey II needs blood to thrive. And as this plant grows, it demands more blood.

So, what we have here is a building set with store facade from the front and inside is the killer plant with tongue, fangs and all.
Bags were numbered and instructions were much better than the usual lepin style of instructions.

With 850 series, these are bigger pieces that are meant for people and children to put together.

Overall, I know there are a good number of Audrey brick/block kits out there but I think this one is the coolest of them all because it pays homage to the film. Although, I do wish they used a lighter shade of green, but that’s me being picky. I did like that the mouth opens and closes and the tentacles can rotate.

The other night picky thing is that I wish it captured Mushnik’s shop a bit more like the film but again, that’s being nitpicky.

Overall, at under $46 with a 10% off coupon, that’s a great pricepoint and I do feel it can still be modified and customized if you have numerous modulars and need a corner building for diorama set. I give this set a thumbs up!
