The One about the GODOX Magic XT1 Wireless Lavalier Microphone

I have been interviewing entertainers since in college and professionally outside of college and I went from using a mini-casette record, to TASCAM devices, DSLR cameras, you name it, I’ve tried it.

For on video interviews, I have turned to lavalier microphones and now I am going to review the GODOX Magic XT1 Wireless Lavalier Microphone.

I have used GODOX products, may it be speedlights for my DSLR and other DSLR products, but this is my first time testing out a lavalier from the company.

So, what do you get with this lavalier mic? Included are the following:

– Godox Magic XT1 Charging Case
– Two Godox Magic XT1 transmitters
– 3.5mm TRS to TRS Connect Cable
– 3.5 mm USB-A to USB-C cable
– TRS adapter cable male-to-male audio cable USB-C
– Two furry windscreen
– Two lavalier magnetic mic Clips
– Colde Shoe Base
– Mic storage case

The charging case is very interesting. On the front is an OLED touch screen interface, while the rear features two Godox Magic XT1 transmitters with a lock on the charging case to keep both in place.

On the side of the charging case is the power on/off button, output and 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Magic XT1 boasts premium microphone components delivering impressive 48kHz/24bit Hi-Res audio with a 70dB SNR and a Max. 115dB SPL. There are three recording modes such as mono, stereo, -6dB Safety Track.

Settings include 1-click dynamic noise reduction (DNR), 150Hz low-cut filter and a 10-level volume adjustment for precise tuning for each microphone.

The range of the mic is 200mm via wireless (2.4GHz wireless frequency) and 16 hour working time while powered (8 hour run time).

For the most part, I have tested numerous lavalier devices, but the GODOX Magic XT1 Wireless Lavalier Microphone works very well! And even boosts my liking towards GODOX products because so far, never had a bad experience.

And at under $110, you are getting a solid quality lavalier mic, especially if you are using a DSLR camera with the TRS connections or even your Android phone.

If anything, you just have to make sure you take care of those transmitters, because they are very small. But for what you get and how well it works, the GODOX Magic XT1 Wireless Lavalier Microphone is a wonderful lavalier mic under $110!
