I’ve been watching a lot of rescue-based YouTube channels, heroics of these searching parties that take on cold cases of people who have been missing and quite often, I see them promoting the use of car emergency kits to cut a seatbelt if your car ends up in the water or how to break your windows if you are caught underwater.

For the most part, I like the idea of having this emergency car kit. Because you never know if unfortunate things may happen. But the sad thing is while these were created for emergency purposes, there are people getting these for nefarious reasons.
