The One about the ZUNPAI Mechanical Watch

As a watch collector, one of the things that I liked to see from watches from different countries, to see how their mechanical watches have evolved.

In China, the watch industry is huge, but the quality varies.

Within the last two years, the type of watches that I have been noticing more and more are skeletal mechanical watches and are being sold for under $60. Watches in which you can see the inner mechanisms at work.

One of those watches, I am reviewing today. The ZUNPAI Mechanical Watch and I wanted to take my time with it, to ensure how long these watches are with time and that there is no huge decrease of in the watch in terms of displaying time.

Priced at under $60, the ZUNPAI Automatic Mechanical Skeleton Wrist Watch features a two bands. Included is a blue silicone wrist band and another featuring a black leather design. I only used the blue rubber wrist band and it’s important to note that I had no skin irritation while wearing this watch. But I do like the fact that they added the black leather straps, but because in my collection, I do not have any wristband with this color, I figured why not keep it.

The steel case is scratch-resistant and features a synthetic sapphire crystal and the watch is up to 100 ft. water resistant, but as I have always mentioned in my watch reviews, I would never dive or shower with a mechanical watch, nor would I store a watch in a bathroom where one showers or bathes. The last thing you want is condensation developing inside the watch or damage. And the instructions does mention that this watch is not suitable for hot showers and is resistant to splashes or short immersion of water.

The watch does feature luminescent hands markers and hands but not the best when it comes to luminosity.

I own many watches from high-priced luxury watches to cheaper watches. For me, this watch has a skeletal face that I absolute love looking at. I like watching the balance wheel in the 9 o’clock position. And also the rear of the case showcasing the skeletal inner segments as well.

It’s important to note that I’m not familiar with the ZUNPAI brand, but it comes in a gift box and comes with the black leather straps (in case you don’t like the blue), which is a major plus.

For the most part, I feel that the ZUNPAI Mechanical Watch worked very well, the time worked as intended but in terms of keeping time for several days if off, probably not going to happen as this watch likes movement. So, if you have a watch winder, this watch is best on there when removed.

While I liked the watch and that it came with two straps, I do feel maybe it’s a bit pricey compared to other watch companies from the same country. But with that being said, I have not come across a watch that offers different colors of silicone bands and definitely makes it stand out from the others. Definitely combines modern style with the blue with the cool skeleton look.

Overall, I do give this ZUNPAI Mechanical Watch a thumbs up!
