The One about the Great Gaming Soundtrack Ranking 2012 (Japanese Poll)

Every year, Game Wiki hosts polls for the best video game soundtracks, which many netizens who love Japanese game soundtracks vote. For me, I like to use this as reference to find songs and soundtracks that I’ve not listened to before. But also interesting to see how the list changes, especially when new gamers start to phase out other gamers and you start to see soundtracks skewing towards more recent versus past.

While the list is the Great Gaming Soundtrack Ranking 2012 and I hope they do another in 2024 (considering there are some awesome ones that were released since 2012 such as “NieR Automata”).  I am only going to focus on the top 50.

Again, these polls are subjective and again, this is what people voted back then.  Typically soundtracks released that year often influence these polls.
