As a person who reviews a lot of mechanical keyboards of varying price ranges, many have asked me to review aviator cables.
So, you may be wondering “what the heck is that?”.
Well, aviator cables are known for reducing wear on USB ports, if you switch keyboards often. They are either braided or a thicker gauge than the standard keyboard cable, all with the their different prices and some that are really awesome and well-made and some that sound like they are well-made but are complete duds.
For today’s review, I am reviewing the ZIYOU LANG C01 Custom Coiled USB C to A Aviator Cable (for Mechanical Keyboards). The cable is made with a high-quality copper wire and features sturdy and durable material. It uses an aero connector (aviator connection) which reduced signal loss, lossless transmission and easy operation.
Which is great because as you guys know, I have many dozens of gaming mechanical keyboards that I have to constantly plug and unplug and because this uses the standard aviator cable connection, this will work with other third party aviator cables with the same type of connection.
Otherwise, you will be buying the same slim aviator connection from GunMjo which is priced about $45, while their line of metal aviator cables range from $25.99-$34.99 (which would work with other companies metal aviator cables).
And one of the positive things about this cable is that it’s under $20, making it one of the cheaper aviator cables available.
But it’s cheap. There must be something wrong with it right?
For one, in today’s gaming world, many gamers prefer braided cables. The cable is not braided but it does use a thicker gauge of cable.
Mine came in package with no bends or not folded, so there is no problems of the shipping of this cable.
While it can be used for a gaming mouse, many gamers use it for their mechanical keyboard because having a big heavy coil connected to a gaming mouse, may not be good for one’s quick gaming movements. But it can be used for a gaming mouse.
Personally, I see no problems with the ZIYOU LANG C01 Custom Coiled USB C to A Aviator Cable (for Mechanical Keyboards). I have gamed, I have worked using this cable and I have not had any problems whatsoever. Not to say something may not happen many months from now. If so, then I will edit this review.
But I can tell you right now, for $20 and it using a metal aviator cable connection, it’s working perfectly fine for me. Granted, sure I would love a braided cable but you can pay a little more for one, but for one that’s not braided, $20 for an aviator cable is pretty good!
For the price and how well it has worked during my testing, the ZIYOU LANG C01 Custom Coiled USB C to A Aviator Cable (for Mechanical Keyboards) is recommended!
