There is something about the holiday season that I love(d).
From the Christmas trees, the holiday decorations, the illuminating lights. I find it magical, romantic and a time of winter elegance.
I’m trying to recapture that love for Christmas. 2020 was a tough year but behind-the-scenes in my personal life, 2021 has been difficult. The loss of loved ones was something that I was not expecting and I kept busy with work and having to deal with loss, taking short spurts where I needed to let go.
A loss of a loved one is hard. But I hope I can discover the magic of the holiday season once again.
I love the holiday season… It’s interesting, if there was one song that came to mind, it was this classic Christmas song from The Jets “Christmas in My Heart”.
One thing I’m going to do everyday until Christmas and it’s something I did professionally for years and years ago, along with the films I reviewed, I would review the seasonal Christmas holiday films. Yes, Hallmark or Lifetime films. They can be cheesy, they can be fun but you know, it’s a holiday film that people watch for the happy ending, the possibility of hope or just to be entertained for under 90 minutes. I’m going to watch these films, once a day. Hopefully, maybe it will rekindle something. Make me feel nostalgic about the past. Or surely, discover that magic once again. Who knows? But I’m up for it.
