The One about the Ancolo Ballpoint Pens (Set of 5)

When it comes to pens, I have a propensity to wanting to use professional pens.

Granted, while I would love to own a Staedtler or Montblanc, due to my frugality and rather putting any income towards investments, I’m fine with using professional rollerball/fountain pens that look expensive but are not.

And so, I tried the Ancolo Ballpoint Pens (Set of 5) which cost about $28.99.

You get five pens, each with its own gift box and an extra 0.5mm black extra refill.

Featuring a red marble-like surface, chrome silver trim with black and they look expensive!

But these pens have one caveat.

In order for it to close the cap, there is a plastic tube which allows it to close your pen cap. But while in use, it will not stick to the top of the pen.

Because the plastic tubing inside the pen cap works with the shape towards the bottom (writing portion of the pen), because the top doesn’t, it hits the plastic tubing, so the pen cap can’t stay on.

So, it’s a design flaw of these pens where functionality should be considered but more went to overall look, but with a professional pen, you want a combination of both.

Ancolo Ballpoint Pens look great, but just make sure you keep the cap in safe place and not on top of the pen while in use or else it will fall off and you can lose it.
