Why have driftwood in your aquarium?
For one, it helps maintain the ecosystem as having it in your aquarium helps promote the growth of beneficial bacteria. It also has natural tannins which helps make water a bit acidic (which helps increase available oxygen and prevent viruses) and it helps keep water at a lower pH.
While one can get driftwood from their local pet store, you can also order it online via Amazon.
And I am trying the majoywoo Natural Driftwood for Aquarium (6-10″ 3 Pcs).
These are smaller pieces of driftwood that are sold as three pieces and is for aquarium use. This is great for smaller aquariums or for those who are doing significant aquascaping and want to attach plants to the driftwood.
It’s important to know that you will want to boil or soak it in water for at least an hour as it will float until water is fully permeated to the branch. So, definitely boil it first and the company recommends boiling it three times (1 hour each).
I have one being using this for aquascaping and I do recommend checking out videos online on how to put pieces of plants and adhere them to your driftwood.
But overall, I do recommend the majoywoo Natural Driftwood for Aquarium (6-10″ 3 Pcs).
