The One about the UOEOS USB Docking Station

I currently use a docking station in order to utilize multiple monitors on my laptop but also for those with limited number of USB 3.0 ports, you can get extra courtesy of a docking station.

The UOEOS is great for those who want to do a duo monitor, especially if you have a monitor that may have VGA and HDMI capabilities. Also, the ease to minimize wires, because everything is connected to the docking station and the USB from the docking station is connected to your PC/laptop.

The setup is easy.  Download the display software prior to connecting the device to your computer, plug in the power adapter, connect the USB cable to your PC/Laptop and turn it on (Note:  I would restart your PC/laptop right after installing the software and then you are ready to go).

I like how the UOEOS USB Docking Station lights up when turned on, everything works on it, from USB connected devices or USB drives, SD and micro SD and speakers.

Now, it’s important to know that this UOEOS USB Docking Station has one HDMI, one VGA and one DVI port.  There is no DisplayPort, there is no extra HDMI port.

Fortunately, if you have a laptop, you may have one HDMI cable to connect to your monitor, then you can connect the second monitor to the HDMI port.

So, I have four monitors for business (stocks) and you may wonder how I do it on my laptop with this docking station.

I have one monitor connected to my computer via HDMI, I have another monitor connected to this docking station via its HDMI port.  I then have another monitor connected via VGA.  To get the fourth monitor working, I have to use a USB adapter that has a DVI/HDMI which I then connect to the docking station.

But overall, the UOEOS USB Docking Station is working great.  I’ve had no problems utilizing it or getting it to work.

I do wish it had a DisplayPort adapter or a second HDMI port.  But for the most part, it does work.

And at $77, pricing is actually not that bad considering the HP docking stations we use at work are nearly $200-$300, so $77 is actually not bad at all.

The UOEOS USB Docking Station is recommended.
