The STARROAD-TIM Fish Breeding Box Aquarium Tank Incubator is probably the first breeding tank that I’ve used that is bigger than most breeding tanks, allows for proper separation from fish and fry.
The tank also includes functions to allow more oxygen and increase survival rate.
And like most breeding boxes, it attaches to a tank with a suction cup.
Now, here is the thing. The tank has the makings of a perfect breeding box for one thing which I did not like and that is the V-shaped bottom. I have tried this with various fish and they would find themselves getting stuck into the V shape and thus stress the fish out to the point that it was no longer healthy and I had to abandon it.
I do like the breeding box and if they made a flat bottom instead of a V/zig-zag shaped bottom where pregnant fish can get trapped, this breeding box could have received a perfect rating.
Again, everything else about this breeding tank was a good idea. The thoughts by the makers of providing better oxygen, the size of the breeding box, things were looking good until I saw my pregnant fish stressing out because they were caught in the bottom. They looked trapped and they got stressed out and eventually died.
